MORE OF WHAT RAY'S BEEN UP TO...

STOP PRESS!
"The Lookalikes Agency" featuring Ray as Elt is being repeated on ITV every weekday @ 2 pm from 30th July to 3rd August. Take a look!

DO YOU HAVE THESE IN RED?
Ray worked his socks off promoting Spectsaver's latest store opening in Bournemouth, trying his/hers specs and just causing a salesman's nitemare!

MORE TELLY
Ray is to appear on LWT's "Stars and their Doubles" for ITV, 18th August. After being picked at the auditions to copy the great REG (if anyone could) and to basically have a giggle working with "Del Boy, Patsy" etc, amongst many others of which we will keep you posted SHHHHH!

MARBELLA, SPAIN
Ray has just come back from Marbella Spain where he spoofed top UK celebs at the exclusive "Silks on the Beach" dinner which was in aid of the Rhys Daniels Charity. He spoofed till he opened his mouth either by speaking or singing of which he had a go at! But it was great fun. Some of the proper people who attended were Max Clifford, Gloria Hunniford, Kenny Lynch, Beverly Callard, Dennis Taylor, Roy Evans, Mike Endland, and comics Dave Lee, Micky Pugh, Bradley Walsh, Jim Davidson, Stan Boardman and co-host Brian Conley. Good fun for a great cause.

LIVE AT THE APOLLO
Ray had a small walk on part in a annual charity show at the London Apollo Theatre. This years theme was based on writers of the great Elvis songs. Top of the bill was Tom Jones followed by Ben E King, Edwin Star, Leo Sayer, Paul Carrick, Brian Conley and loads more stars too numerous to name.

RAY DRIVES 'EM WILD
Ray was spotted driving around London in his Taxi, but there was a difference this time -- he's dressed as our Elt and armed with adverts stuck all over his cab for guess what? Yes it's to advertise the Elton show in Turkey on 17th July, which in conjunction with Microsoft (MSN) is the first of its kind to be live on the internet.

BASKING IN THE SUN
Ray is back at the Sun for more photos -- they just can't get enough of this hunk! They should be in Saturdays super soaraway Sun? It might run for 6 weeks cos its for the Sun Bingo with Posh/Becks!

RAY SPEAKS
Ray gave a tongue in cheek interview for East End Lights about the life and times of being a spoof EJ. The new issue of the USA-based "magazine for Elton John fans" hits the shelves in July.

HERCULES CONVENTION
March 25th was the real Elton's birthday. Ray went along to join in the celebrations at the home of the Beatles, The Cavern Club in Liverpool. It was very well run by Hercules coordinaters Stephan, Sharon and George who had a result in bringing in members from Elt's original band Bluesology, including drummer Roger Pope -- what a scream that fellow is! Also there was recent band member John Jorgenson. They both played a set and were excellent. A good crowd turned up to support the day which happened to be the same day England played Finland in a World Cup Qualifier, so Liverpool was buzzing with having both events in the city.

RAY'S BIG BREAK
Ray has completed filming @ the BBC for a cameo appearance in Jim Davidson's The Big Break Show. The show date is TBA.

FOOLED AGAIN
Over the Easter weekend Ray paid a visit to see his team West Ham United in training. He saw past and present players some of whom were duped as he was dressed up in his Elton clobber! Sky Sports TV were there and done a piece as was The Sun tabloid paper who ran a little story with three snaps as well. The main photo was with manager Harry Redknapp which made the back page.

HOW DOES RAY RANK?
Ray has been photographed by Top UK celebrity snapper Rankin to appear in his RANK portfolio quarterly (read into that what you will).

VIDEO APPEARANCE
Ray has appeared in a spoof audience with Farrell Lennon who is a an up-and-coming UK singer/songwriter due to hit the charts in early June. This was a showcase for the British media etc in effect to weigh the chap up, but he's quite good and with fingers crossed could make it big.

FUNDRAISER
A big fund raising event for underprivileged children was the place Ray went on Bank Holiday Monday (UK). It took place in the Marlowes Theatre Canterbury Kent. UK stars who took part were comics Jimmy Jones, Jim Davidson, Brian Conley, Joe Pasquele and the chap who runs the charity for last ten years Dave Lee. Also there were former world featherweight champion Barry McQuigian and pianist USA's Gerard Kenny with whom Ray done sketch with. It was a great night (nite) with a worthwhile cause.

RAY TAKES ELTONS PLACE ON BRITISH SATIRE SHOW "HAVE I GOT NEWS FOR YOU"
Yes its true Ray Johnson pulled off the spoof award of the year by taking Elton John's place on the BBC's most popular satire show of which goes out @ 9:00pm on Friday May 2th. Elton pulled out on Wednesday saying exhaustion had claimed him @ 2:00pm, Ray got the the call @ 3:00pm the same day and the deal was struck.

Ray had to sit there pulling faces and such but without having to say a word but looking the part. It went out to nearly 10 million viewers who expecting Elton John to strut his stuff with his good friend Janet Street Porter who was in the other guest chair, but alas that wasn't to be... or was it? After this, the papers wanted a piece of this reluctant new "superstar", but Ray's agent held firm for an exclusive by cementing a deal thought to be worth a bottle of Remy Martin (not Ricky) and a bag of nuts!

STOP PRESS!
Harry Redknapp has resigned as the manager of West Ham United. Could it be the strain of being linked with Elton (Ray)?

COMING UP NEXT...
The next few months is a busy time for our Elt (Ray): back to Monte Carlo, breaking Las Vegas and back to London (in his black cab I suppose) for more outings that include prestigous Planet 2000.

Other bookings in the pipeline are a "home turf" one which consists in being involved in the opening of a shop (Burtons Group) in WATFORD no less!

Also on the agenda is "Celebrate with the Stars" with the Mercedes Benz dealerships in the UK; Ray will play Dartford Kent.

Ray is still going about his normal cabbie duties in Old London Town to keep the punters happy, who say "you'll never guess who I had in the front of my cab today!"
